Lars Vegas & The Love Gloves are considered one of the most influential Rhythm and Blues bands in Europe. When they started playing old time Blues from the 1920s and 1930s in Berlin in the year 2000, nobody else around was doing it. The band members were all in their early twenties and seemed like aliens to other people their age. Today, more than ten years later, this music is being played in countless Berlin clubs like Bassy, Roadrunners, Soulcat, Admiralspalast, White Trash etc. and a lot of young people are really into it - Lars Vegas & The Love Gloves set ground for this! .......... Throughout the years, the band has changed members and styles. They have developed from a young acoustic Delta and Country Blues orientated trio to a mature band familiar with all sorts of styles related to Rhythm and Blues, Swing, Jazz, Rock..n..Roll and Rockabilly, often joined by pianists and horn sections. .......... They have built up a huge following by playing many major festivals, clubs and events. They have also received several awards, played in a few TV movies and have written soundtracks for commercial spots, documentaries and movies. .......... Singer, guitarist and front man Lars Vegas has gained high recognition for his talent as a songwriter (in english and german language) and his unique guitar playing. He is published by Universal Music and has played on several recordings and countless gigs. In late 2007, he was asked to record all guitar and some bass tracks for an upcoming band called The Baseballs. He was joined by his long time companion, Love Gloves drummer Klaas Wendling, who is the Baseballs.. bass player since 2008. .......... The Baseballs debut album „Strike" was released by Warner Music in 2009 and conquered the European charts: No. 1 in Sweden, Finland and Norway, No. 4 in the UK, No. 2 in Switzerland, the Netherlands and Belgium and No. 6 in Germany! They got several gold, platin, double and triple platin awards and were even awarded with an „Echo 2010" (German equivalent to Grammy/Brit Awards) as best national newcomer! .......... As The Baseballs keep them really busy at the moment, Lars Vegas & The Love Gloves hardly have the time to do any shows of their own. Still, whenever they have the opportunity, they show up at their favourite clubs to join sessions or just to hang out... So, watch out for them!!!
